About Me

I have worked as a designer my entire professional career. I started my first job as a web designer in my last year of high school. I had a brief stint in architecture. The rest of my career has been focused on creating software brands and products.

I pride myself on being an inclusive design leader who is empathetic, low-ego, and driven to help others. As passionate as I am about good design, I am equally passionate about helping designers grow in their careers.

While I default to bringing simplicity from complexity, sometimes things warrant complexity - like airplane cockpits and (sometimes) dev tools.

I believe that design is a craft, and that good design is a result of good craftsmanship. The craftsmanship comes from the design process, not just the solution.

I have a passion for learning and building things. In addition to my work with design, I have also been coding for over 20 years. I have also built physical things like sheds, furniture, and offices.
