Working with other designers, engineers and product mangers, we brought a new platform product to market for HPE to drive all future cloud and as-a-service initiatives. This is an overview of the many areas and teams I led or contributed to.
Problem
Customers needed a way to access disparate cloud and on-premise services from HPE and other vendors. Previously customers would have to visit many services to achieve this.
Competitive Analysis and Benchmarking
Before beginning work on this new initiative, I led the project of collecting the onboarding experiences of several key competitors (AWS, Digital Ocean, IBM Cloud, Azure and Packet)
I helped define a login process and design for a complicated 3rd party identity management platform. This included defining how SSO login is handled password resets work with the vendor.
Core UI - Dashboard
I worked on a number of different areas of the core UI:
- The header and top level navigation
- The information architecture of tenants and spaces
- How the identity and access management is controlled by both customers and HPE
- Widget standards and individual widgets
Services Widgets
Drilling down to an individual services level, I worked with teams to define how widgets were displayed, while adhering to best practices and our design system
